About the Role
The role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of property development projects, from land acquisition through to design, construction, and project completion. Key responsibilities include conducting development appraisals, managing land buying and site acquisitions, coordinating with sales and marketing teams, and ensuring compliance with building regulations and planning applications.
The role also requires handling utilities connections, monitoring project budgets and cashflows, and ensuring adherence to safety and risk management standards. Additionally, the Development Manager will liaise with external planning consultants, manage site visits, and collaborate with architects, consultants, and construction teams to ensure successful project delivery.
A significant aspect of the role involves networking to attract international investors, specifically for buy-to-let opportunities, and promoting projects to foreign markets. The candidate must have 2-4 years of relevant experience in development, strong IT skills, and be willing to travel. The position requires a qualification in Real Estate, Land Economy, Construction Management, or a related field.
Requirements
Qualification in Real Estate, Land Economy, Construction Management or related property subject
2-4 years experience within a consultancy or client-side development organisation
Personal commitment to strong customer service and high-quality delivery
Strong IT skills
Able and willing to travel
