About the Role
This role involves the management and oversight of all contractual aspects of construction projects, from initial negotiation to final execution and completion. The Contracts Manager will work closely with legal, project management, and procurement teams to ensure that all contractual obligations are met, risks are minimized, and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
A strong understanding of contract law, exceptional negotiation skills, and a detail-oriented approach are critical for this role. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience and be comfortable managing contracts across various construction disciplines and locations. The ability to travel and regularly visit sites to monitor progress is essential.
Requirements
Qualification in Construction Management, Law, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
3-5 years experience in a Contracts Manager role within the construction industry
Strong knowledge of contract law, construction contracts (NEC, JCT), and dispute resolution processes
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage multiple contracts and work collaboratively with different teams
Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex contract documents
IT proficient with experience in contract management software and Microsoft Office
Willingness to travel to project sites and work closely with project teams across various locations
